HEALING IS POSSIBLE AFTER PREGNANCY AND BIRTH TRAUMA.

Therapy for Pregnancy and Birth Trauma in Alaska

Everything was fine… until it wasn’t.

ITS HARD TO TALK ABOUT YOUR PREGNANCY OR BIRTH EXPERIENCE. THE PAIN OF IT ALL FEELS TOO DIFFICULT TO EXPLAIN.

It feels like no one understands what you went through. The fear, the helplessness, the feeling of being completely alone, even when you were surrounded by a room full of people. You are wondering what could have gone differently? What decision or event led to everything shifting so quickly?

Perinatal trauma (during birth or pregnancy) can leave you feeling anxious, isolated, and frozen in the memories of what happened. You may be feeling disconnected from your body and finding it difficult to be fully present in your life. You deserve a safe space to process everything you have been through, reconnect with your body, and begin to feel like yourself again.

DOES THIS SOUND RELATABLE?

You are replaying every step, trying to make sense of it and finding it hard to live beyond that day.

There was no time to process the choices or the steps, “everything happened so fast”.

You are feeling distracted and on edge, finding it difficult to connect with those around you.

You struggle to imagine a future that feels safe and the idea of a future pregnancy or birth leaves you feeling numb or terrified.

THERE IS A WAY THROUGH THIS. HEALING IS POSSIBLE.

Your story deserves space to be heard, felt and processed. It’s okay to admit that this has changed you.

Your experience matters and is not “too much” to be shared. You are not alone in the fear you are holding or the exhaustion of trying to pretend everything is okay. You can experience relief and the space to breath deeply again.

Imagine what it would be like to…

01 feel safe in your own body again.

While it may feel like a distant possibility, regaining control and a sense of safety is absolutely possible. We will gently explore how your experience has impacted your body and, with permission and awareness, release the tension and pain your body has stored from your experience.

02 to feel you are able to reconnect with others.

Through intentional focus on grounding and processing your story, you will begin to feel more able to be present with others and with yourself.

03 be able to remember and share your story without freezing or fear of being overwhelmed with emotion.

In a safe and supportive space, we will identify and organize the fragmented memories of your experience in order for you to be able to process the experience fully. Once processed, the pain of your experience will feel much more manageable and less like it is shadowing everything you do each day.
