Sarah Davidson, LCSW, PMH-C
Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Alaska
Masters of Social Work from Boston University
Bachelors of Social Work from University of Alaska Fairbanks
Sarah is originally from Los Angeles, but has spent the majority of her life in Alaska. She has lived around the state, in both rural and urban communities, but Kodiak Island is home. She has spent a large portion of her time working in Medical Social Work, including hospitals, a rural village clinic and multiple years in Hospice and Palliative Care settings. With Social Work roots, non-profit work is especially important to Sarah. She has dedicated many years to non-profit work with children, foster youth programs, international and transient communities, and the perinatal population.
Sarah is a Certified Compassionate Bereavement Care Provider and is heavily influenced by the work of traumatic grief expert, Dr. Joanne Cacciatore - providing a non-pathological space to experience and get to know our grief.
Sarah is also certified in Perinatal Mental Health and currently serves as the Training and Education Chair for Postpartum Support International -Alaska Chapter.
Outside of work, Sarah is spending time with her family, hiking in the woods and the mountains, traveling to far away places, cooking new recipes and hopefully reading something interesting.
